Strawberry picking. What better way to spend a sunny spring/summers day?!
Harry and I decided to check out the closest fruit farm to Birmingham (Essington Fruit Farm) and thought we’d spend the morning strawberry picking. We’d never done it before (as adults of course!) so thought we’d see what it was about. The result: we loved it!
I haven’t been strawberry picking for as long as I can remember, but it’s such a cute activity to do if you have a few hours to spare and is great fun for all ages! It was so nice to actually go out and pick my own fruit to eat, rather than popping to my local supermarket and just picking up a pack. Plus, the amount of strawberries you can pick for the price is an added bonus. You get so much more for your money!
If you’re not a fan of strawberries, then don’t be deterred. There are so many fruits and vegetables available to pick at your own leisure, so make your choice and enjoy! They also have a great little farm shop on site with pre-prepared meats, a selection of veg and some delicious sausage rolls (yes, I definitely tried one).
So if you’re lacking inspo for some fun activities to do this summer, and you’re a fan of organic fruit/veg, this could be the perfect choice! Oh, and yes, the strawberries were amazing!
